One of my favorite childhood memories was running home after school and eating all the delicious snacks my parents bought. Admittedly, our snack choices weren’t always healthy ones. My parents had always thought that the only healthy snack out there was cut up fruits and veggies and as a child, those didn’t sound appealing. I would lean towards chips, cookies, and ice cream.

Now that I’m older and learning more about the foods I consume, I’ve realized that there are easy swaps I could do to still enjoy my favorite snacks but at a healthier cost. These snacks are perfect for back to school season as they can be easily stored in a dorm room or apartment. The convenient packaging makes these great for on-the-go whether you are walking to school or driving to work.

Snacking on junk food can lead to weight gain and other health problems, but healthy snacks can have great benefits. Snacks can be beneficial to people who struggle with blood sugar levels. After eating a snack, blood sugar levels will rise and then decrease. Snacks can prevent blood sugar levels from dropping too much in between meals. Below are awesome healthy snack options!
